The Amin Jewellers Flagship Showroom at Bashundhara City represents a masterful blend of timeless elegance and contemporary luxury, designed to reflect the brand’s rich heritage and enduring reputation in Bangladesh’s jewellery industry. Conceived and executed by Vertical Architects, the project aimed to reinterpret traditional jewellery retail environments into a refined, modern spatial experience that celebrates both craftsmanship and comfort.

Located within one of Dhaka’s most opulent shopping destinations, the design challenge was to create a distinctive identity amid the mall’s heavily gilded and ornamental interior. The design team responded with a soft beige and gold palette, balanced by white marble flooring and ceilings to establish a lighter, more sophisticated visual tone. This neutral yet elegant base enhances illumination and ensures the jewellery remains the true focal point of the interior.

Spatial planning was approached with precision to achieve both aesthetic balance and functional efficiency. Neckpieces are displayed along the periphery for maximum visibility, while bangles and smaller ornaments are presented in a central glass tower, serving as a captivating centerpiece. The reception and cashier areas are strategically separated from the main sales counters to streamline circulation and maintain a sense of privacy.

Comfort and hospitality play a vital role in shaping the customer experience. Seating zones are thoughtfully integrated throughout the showroom to encourage relaxed viewing, and a dedicated coffee area offers visitors a space to unwind. These elements collectively transform the traditional act of shopping into a warm, inviting, and memorable experience.

A defining feature of the interior is the curved ceiling design, composed of 60% solid panels and 40% open operable sections, in compliance with mall regulations. Integrated chandeliers and recessed lighting create a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, enhancing the grandeur of the space. Columns wrapped in Airslate, a natural stone veneer, add texture and contrast, grounding the overall composition with earthy warmth.

Through its thoughtful material selection, spatial flow, and ambient lighting, the Amin Jewellers Flagship Showroom stands as a benchmark of modern retail elegance, where tradition meets innovation in perfect architectural harmony.
